I am a Florida illustrator and graduate of the University of South Florida in 1995, majoring in drawing and painting. I began as an artist working in traditional mediums, from watercolor, to acrylic paints, oil paints, charcoal, conte crayon, ink and pastels but now I enjoy the clean paperless and environmentally friendly aspect of creating my illustrations in computer art programs Photoshop and Corel Painter X.
I work in layers so there is a big advantage in being able to edit the final image for a picture book. I use lighting effects, shadows and a textured brush for a luminous dreamy background.
