Bio

Lyn studied illustration and design at the Royal Melbourne Institute in Melbourne, Australia, continuing her studies at Art Center and the Illustrator's Workshops, always believing in the value of a classical foundation which she now brings to the world of digital illustration. 30 years of experience, versatility and reliability has made her a favorite with art directors. Lyn's lifelong love of children and animals shows in the vibrancy she brings to her children's illustrations. She's specializes in children's books, educational workbooks and all things 'children'. She has worked on projects as varied as the 'Lily' book series for Junior High Girls, to puzzles for toddlers. She has mastered a library of styles to fit projects from pre-school through high school. As one client said, 'Lyn works in many diverse styles with confidence and each style is as good as the next. She can bring two or three different approaches to one project.' Lyn lives in Durango, Colorado and when not working on projects enjoys hiking with her dog, skiing, riding her horse and exploring the mountains and deserts of the Southwest. She loves her
Martin guitars, bluegrass festivals, helping out anything on four legs and doing ranch chores. Shoveling snow....not so much ;-)

Her client list has included publications and corporations such as Readers
Digest, Book of the Month Club, General Motors, FTD, Zondervan, Amway,
Baker & Taylor, Baker Book House, The Chicago Tribune, The Atlantic
Monthly, McGraw Hill, MCI. AT&T, Herman Miller , Kellog, World Book,
Ballantine, General Mills and many more.

She enjoys proficiency in styles ranging from 3D computer generated
illustration, to children's books, to edgy editorial. Her broad range allows her to tweak, match or create a completely new style to perfectly satisfy the project at hand. She is a traditionally trained illustrator who has worked with computers as an artist and webmaster from the day the first mouse crawled onto our desks and is able to recreate all styles digitally for efficient delivery and upload to the client.

Lyn has been recognized by:

out of something small." A. Phipps -NYC

"The illustration is quite wonderfully eerie. That is exactly how I imagined old
Briggs Cadmean would look. My thanks to the artist..."
Michael Malone -Author
