Josée Bisaillon grew up in St-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada. Rather than follow in her father's footsteps as a veterinary surgeon, she chose to cut animals from paper: they were colorful, low maintenance and always in fine health. Today her illustrations, a mixture of collage, drawings and digital montage, take us into a world so richly detailed and multidimensional that you'd hardly think it all came out of only one person's imagination.
When not making pictures, Josée enjoys knitting socks for her young daughter Charlotte and is touring the world as a virtual Rock Band guitarist.
Bisaillon's has won many Applied Arts Illustration Award and LUX Illustration Awards in Québec, and was a finalist for the 2008 Governor General's Literary Awards in Canada.
