Barbara Johansen Newman is the author and illustrator of Tex Mex Rex: A Big City Kitty Ditty, which was published in April 2007. She is also the illustrator of more than 15 books for children, including the ongoing Jeffrey Bones series by David A. Adler, and the continuing Doyle and Fossey series by Michele Torrey. In addition, she has been an editorial illustrator for newspapers, national magazines, corporations and advertising since 1982.
