Erika LeBarre has always been exposed to art one way or another as she grew up. Her father worked as a car designer for the big three until he retired, and her mother was and still is a ceramicist. Erika's parents always encouraged her creative side. Drawing was her favorite thing to do, especially dinosaurs and monsters as subject matter. Erika graduated from the College for Creative Studies in 1990 with a BFA in illustration. She worked at an art studio with other illustrators and designers for over four years. Since then she has worked as a freelance illustrator out of her home in Michigan.
"Erika's work is beautiful and highly original. She always comes through with knock-out work, on time and without a hassle. She makes art directors look good! She is very thorough in her approach to an assignment and makes sure there are no unanswered questions and no unpleasant surprises. A real pro! Top Qualities: Great Results, Personable, High Integrity" -Kelley Cunningham, AD for Highlights High Five Magazine
Erika LeBarre has won the prestigious Highlights High Five 2008 Pewter Plate
