Claude studied art and design in Paris before moving to Manhattan. She first worked as an AD in advertising agencies and design studios before starting her own company. Claude Martinot is known for her extraordinary ability at mixing colors with a playful 'light as air" energy which she aplies to such techniques as cut paper, fabric appliques,whimsical pen and ink. Her work has been seen in projects for clients as varied as Hallmark, UNICEF, the Bronx Zoo, Education publishers: Scholastic, McGraw-Hill, Harcourt, Houghton mifflin, klutz Press.
