Leanne Franson lives in Montreal, Québec, where she illustrates children's books and textbooks in her home studio, surrounded by the hair from her two cats, her Saint-Bernard and her little boy Benjamin Taotao's toys and questions. She started working on books in French as well as English after moving to Francophone Canada from the Prairies, and is now learning Mandarin, Taotao's native language. She especially loves drawing animals, and feisty children having adventures, physical or emotional. She wouldn't give up her computer, but couldn't live without her actual pencil, paper and paintbrush!
