Rebecca Reedreedillustration@comcast.netBioRebecca Reed is a children's book writer and illustrator based in Reston, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in printmaking and minored in art history. Rebecca received her Master of Fine Arts degree at Florida State University, where she focused in the areas of painting and printmaking. She also studied art at the Cité Universitaire de Paris in Paris, France. Rebecca has been the recipient of numerous awards throughout her fifteen year career as a freelance artist. She recently received the First Place Art Award at the Annual SCBWI Mid-Year Conference in New York. Her artwork is currently featured on the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators website under the Previous Featured Artist section. Rebecca has been a member of SCBWI since 2001.
