Cheryl Welchwelchdesign@aol.comBioMy illustrative focus has been two-fold—designing for surface/textiles and for children’s picture books. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some great clients, and have illustrated product-driven textiles for Hasbro, packaging for Fisher-Price, and a Kindergarten Reader for Scott-Foresman. Whatever the project, my goal is to create art that inspires thought, evokes a smile, and serves a purpose. Whether creating a funny character or an everyday object, I use unusual colors, lines that sometimes don’t connect and seemingly impossible patterns jig-sawed together to become a strange and perfect new world filled with humor and surprise.

Corey Wolfecoreyrwolfe@msn.comBioYou may view more work on my website: www.coreywolfe.com I've been a working artist since 1979. I've designed and painted pieces for dvd video covers, movie posters, point of purchase displays, computer game covers, magazines, children books, toys, and character development. I am self taught, though I have worked in two design firms early in my career. I work in a beautiful 1300 square foot studio I had built from scratch. It has a professional photography area for shooting reference shots, a traditional painting area, a costume area, and a digital area. Corey I'm traditionally trained, so I'm comfortable painting in oils, acrylics, or digitally. I often use a combination to get the best results. Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to working with you. Corey

Diego Moscatomoscatodiego@gmail.comBioMy way of working is a combination of traditional and digital techniques. In traditional techniques, drawing and the ink is where I am more professional. Watercolors, watercolors, pencils and acrylics are the most commonly used soil but choose the more appropriate tool because each has its own character as to illustrate the text. Along with the use of digital tablet, Photoshop and versatility in reproduction of textures and strokes complete the process to meet deadlines without affecting image quality. These are digital media by email or yousendlt. My greatest affinity and experience is to the texts to a young audience, but I'm open to other audiences, texts or proposals. I bet for versatility.

After graduating from Pratt Institute, she worked on a variety of projects, –including producing a film festival, animating cartoons for network television and film, and working on a documentary– that gradually led her back to one of her first loves, illustration. Her work has been featured online, in interactive games, on assorted products, in films, as murals, and in various forms of print. Her hand drawn images tend to be realistically rendered, but with a whimsical touch, often employing patterns and botanical elements. Her favorite projects feature mischievous children. Juana Martinez-Nealme@juanamartinezneal.comBioHi there! I'm Juana and I'm a children's illustrator. I love art and birdies. I was born in Lima, the capital of Peru. I've been illustrating for children since I was 16. Back then, my work was sold in toy packaging all across the country. I was having so much fun. Education is a must and I attended the best art school ever, Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru - School of Fine Arts. After 3 years of a crazy 8-to-8 schedule and way too many all-nighters, I was in desperate need of a semester-break and decided to give L.A. a "test drive." I have lived in the US ever since. I now live and work in Scottsdale, Arizona. I found a boy that I love and together we have two active, young boys who are always getting into trouble and chasing Mr. Snaggle-Tooth Kitty and Puppy. I'm currently available for new and exciting projects so email me and let's talk. Extra points to you if you do it in Spanish.

Meganrolee125@yahoo.comBioWell, it's been a while since I got interested in artworks. I'm Megan Grey. I used to be the resident artist of our class when I was in my elementary and high school days. My friends have tried to convince me to take up fine arts as my college course. But much to our surprise, things went the other way. I graduated with a degree in creative writing and I am working as a creative writer in a gaming firm. I have contributed storylines on some famous games which I opted not to mention in here. I am also planning to do a sideline which involves writing some academic paper like dissertation, journals and many more. Being a writer have really never crossed my mind before, but my grandfather have used some magical words to me thus instantly making writing as my passion. Well, let's see if it writing would bring me to places I've never been. Godspeed.

René Milotrenemilot@renemilot.comBio René brings his boundless energy and years of communications to solving visual problems with elegant, realistic oil painting. Of course he also works digitally when required, but oils are his main love and the medium that has garnered him an impressive list of international honors. As both an instructor and illustrator, René addresses work with humor and pragmatism. His college illustration courses and lectures are touted as “Everything you’ve always wanted to know about illustration and your other teachers were afraid to tell you.” Clients appreciate his creativity coupled with straight forward professionalism. For René, work and play must be closely related: “mens sana in corpore sanum” (a healthy mind in a healthy body). When he has the chance, he relishes the excitement of windsurfing, mountain biking and snowboarding. After long hours of painting, he enjoys ending the day with friends around great food and of course wine.

Sally Vitskysvitsky@comcast.netBio Sally Vitsky has always been drawn to the tactile quality of paper and the endless possibilities of constructing imagery in 3-D. As of late, Sally has focused on using recycled and “green” materials in her work. One of her favorite clients is the American Forest & Paper Association who is always happy to have another mode to stress sustainability and recycling efforts. Sally’s work has been included in the Society of Illustrators 3-D Salon and the annual 3 X 3 magazine competition. During the rare moments when not cutting and gluing, Sally is happily at home in Richmond, Va. with her husband and dog, exploring the growing local arts venues and The Virginia Museum, and enjoying the empty nest that resulted from 2 little boys turning, miraculously, into young adults!

The lure of the silver screen dulled and Susan returned to her native California where she happily creates lively, textural and whimsical illustrations in the beautiful Bay Area.  When not illustrating, Susan enjoys biking, backpacking, and hiking to really high places with her husband and daughter.   Susan wrote and illustrated her first children's book, Night Lights, to be published by Knopf in June 2009.
