I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some great clients, and have illustrated product-driven textiles for Hasbro, packaging for Fisher-Price, and a Kindergarten Reader for Scott-Foresman. Whatever the project, my goal is to create art that inspires thought, evokes a smile, and serves a purpose. Whether creating a funny character or an everyday object, I use unusual colors, lines that sometimes don’t connect and seemingly impossible patterns jig-sawed together to become a strange and perfect new world filled with humor and surprise. |

I've been a working artist since 1979. I've designed and painted pieces for dvd video covers, movie posters, point of purchase displays, computer game covers, magazines, children books, toys, and character development.
I am self taught, though I have worked in two design firms early in my career.
I work in a beautiful 1300 square foot studio I had built from scratch. It has a professional photography area for shooting reference shots, a traditional painting area, a costume area, and a digital area.
Corey
I'm traditionally trained, so I'm comfortable painting in oils, acrylics, or digitally. I often use a combination to get the best results.
Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to working with you.

| Diego Moscato | moscatodiego@gmail.com | Bio | My way of working is a combination of traditional and digital techniques.
In traditional techniques, drawing and the ink is where I am more professional. Watercolors, watercolors, pencils and acrylics are the most commonly used soil but choose the more appropriate tool because each has its own character as to illustrate the text. Along with the use of digital tablet, Photoshop and versatility in reproduction of textures and strokes complete the process to meet deadlines without affecting image quality. These are digital media by email or yousendlt.
My greatest affinity and experience is to the texts to a young audience, but I'm open to other audiences, texts or proposals.
I bet for versatility. |

After working in the editorial field for 10 years for such publications as LA Weekly, The Sacramento News and Review and The Santa Cruz Metro, I was inspired to return to my first love, children's illustration. To further this aim, I created a portfolio inspired by classic children's tales, for which I received best in show at the North/Central Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrator's Spring Spirit conference in 2010. I also received an Ignatz nomination for my graphic novel work for Alternative Comics. I studied illustration at San Jose State University where I received my degree. I am a current member of SCBWI. |

In college I majored in Biology and Chemistry. After a few fires and one suspected carbon monoxide leak at my graduate school laboratory, I decided that I had enough of chemical threats and hazards. I then studied computers and worked as a chemistry high school teacher, and as a computer programmer.
As I pursued my scientific career, I continued to illustrate while studying different methods of painting. I participated in workshops, entitled How to Illustrate Children’s Books, at DeCordova museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts. My mentor there was the acclaimed illustrator Ilse Plum.
In the past 7 years, I have devoted my time to writing and illustrating. I developed my own unique style as a collage artist. My goal as a writer/illustrator is to teach young children through an intriguing story and captivating illustrations.

Her design sense and strong composition and color skills can clearly been seen in her illustrations. Since 2003, Tanja has strictly worked as a freelance illustrator and designer with her main focus being children’s illustration. Her first picture book, “There’s a Coqui in My Shoe!”, written by Marisa de Jesus Paolicelli and released by ChiChi Rodriguez Books in 2007, won the 2008 10th Annual International Latino Book Awards for Best Educational Children's Book - English. Her second book “The Adventures of Salt and Soap at Grand Canyon” published by the Grand Canyon Association will be released in the spring of 2009. After having lived in Germany and Australia, Tanja now calls Arizona her home with her family and her two Goldens Otto and Peanut and cat Ducky.
