An "I can tell the story myself" picture book concept with pictures but no words. Developing story telling, imagination, language and more with a child's own creativity. Showcasing more supporting fun ideas, also!
Nancy started drawing when she was two, and kept on until she won a full art scholarship to Illinois Wesleyan University. After Wesleyan, she went on to study advanced illustration at Northern Illinois University and went on to freelance illustration. She was soon pulled into digital design and became a graphic designer with mad illustration skills, quickly moving up to art director and creative director with Chicago area ad agencies. Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and others became her second language and years of directing and creating complex design packages developed her project and production skills, as well. Pulling dielines, foil stamps, embossing, packaging, along with web and many other design areas were mastered and became second nature to her. Nancy has been happily working with her own business clients for the past ten years, and yet her years of illustration were calling to her. In 2012 she started the Maddalee blog, showcasing some of the illustration and fun sitting in her archives while getting back into a line of work that is exciting and fresh for her. Nancy is very excited to create illustration and design in these new areas, and enjoys every minute of it!
